Historical Overview

The IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (IEEE RAS), founded in 1984 and becoming a full society in 1995, is a leader in advancing robotics and automation. It organizes key conferences like ICRA and IROS and publishes influential journals such as IEEE Transactions on Robotics. With a focus on emerging technologies like AI-powered robotics and healthcare automation, IEEE RAS fosters global collaboration and innovation, making it a driving force in shaping the future of robotics.

JU RAS Objectives

Objectives :

Bridging the gap between academia and industry :by offering hands-on technical events, workshops, competitions, and courses that foster real-world skills and knowledge.

Providing accessible learning opportunities through in-person and online sessions, with free or minimal fees for students, ensuring that knowledge is affordable and inclusive.

Enhancing teamwork and communication skills through collaborative projects, preparing students for professional environments.

Fostering technical excellence in cutting-edge fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics, Automation, and Automatic Control, empowering students with the tools and expertise for future innovation.
